Candidate Profile

To support the growth the Cinven office in Luxembourg, we seek to hire an experienced individual in the field of AML/KYC who is highly motivated, comfortable working autonomously, naturally curious and has demonstrated excellence in prior endeavours. This is a unique opportunity to join an agile and growing team, working with senior executives in a dynamic environment to contribute to the success of our buy out operations and work on numerous development projects.

Principal Responsibilities

As a member of the Luxembourg based Cinven office, your role will be to maintain an effective AML/KYC documentation workflow. You will work closely with, assist and report to the Conducting Officer of the AIFM in charge of AML/CTF in Luxembourg including:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for AML/KYC-related matters, both internally and externally, on a portfolio of more than 110 companies;
  • Collect and maintain AML/KYC documentation about the portfolio, the investors and the related parties;
  • Ensure that external stakeholders (e.g. banks, lenders, co-investors, regulatory authorities) are provided with quality data in a timely manner;
  • Negotiate with external stakeholders the type of data we can provide and how to satisfy their regulatory needs whenever they request unreasonable sets of data;
  • Update RCS/RBE with information related to the managers/shareholders of the companies managed in-house;
  • Follow record keeping rules, including accurate completion of dedicated KYC system;
  • Work in collaboration with the Compliance Officer, the Compliance Analyst and external stakeholders when relevant;
  • Manage the collection of data for the annual FATCA / CRS reporting;
  • Setting up action plans if a situation remains stagnant despite several reminders for incomplete AML/KYC files and regularly follow-up with senior executives of Cinven Luxembourg;
  • Assist with other day-to-day legal & compliance matters as needed.

Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Economics or Finance;
  • A first successful experience in a financial institution or advisory / consultancy firm with exposure to AML/CTF-related matters
  • Familiarity with Luxembourg corporate legal environment (e.g. RCS, RBE, etc.);
  • Knowledge of EU and/or Luxembourg AML/CTF regulations, KYC requirements, and industry best practices;
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively;
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness;
  • Strong self-starting, organizational & problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize tasks effectively, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently while remaining a strong team player who works collaboratively;
  • Ability to interact clearly and efficiently with senior individuals and external counterparties;
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken) – French will be an advantage.
