Compliance Officer – Associate

Role responsibilities:
- Support the compliance and AML work as part of the on-board new funds and review and assess for compliance and AML the due diligences carried out by the AIFM team
- Support the design of the controls in assurance reviews as per the CMP and execute the reviews and come up with recommendations and reports
- Review and assess the AIFM and delegates reports to maintain the AML risk assessment and risk appetite and work with the global AML team
- Support the advisory compliance program and assess impact of new regulations, project manage implementation and run and recommend training
- Draft and/or review the compliance and AML handbook (policies and key documents) of the firm as well as annual reports and CSSF questionnaires on compliance and AML
- Provide assistance in the relationship with regulators like CSSF, AED or other authorities
- Support to the global compliance team as required on global compliance projects
Requirements:
- Degree in Law, Finance or an equivalent degree. A masters in finance or asset management will be considered a plus
- CAMS certified or any other relevant certification or qualification in AML or compliance (House of training, etc)
- Relevant working experience in a similar position dealing with AML or compliance in a financial institution or management company
- Good understanding of investment funds (AIFM and UCITS)
- Exposure to ILA standards and experience as corporate secretary will be a plus
- Some exposure of working with third party delegates and service providers
- Fluent in English; additional language would be considered as an asset
- Good command of excel and office
- Previous experience in implementation projects of compliance software
- Self-motivated team player and business oriented
