Public Funds Assurance: The use of public funding is subject to various legal conditions. Our specialists are therefore not only on call to assist our clients on annual audits, but also on complex issues relating to the awarding and assuring of subsidies, both from the Luxembourg Government as well as from the EU.
Your next challenge
We are looking for dedicated reinforcement for our Public Funds Assurance team in Luxembourg.
Your role will involve the audit of the use of public funding in all its multifaceted forms:
- Audit of individual investment projects from the Luxembourg Government or in the context of European Structural Funds (in form of ISAE 3000 or ISRS 4400 engagements)
- Assessment of the design and implementation of internal controls in the context of EU Pillar Assessments
- Audit readiness support for recipients of public funds
- Accounting advisory to the public sector
- Participation in interdisciplinary advisory projects together with our Public Sector consultants
Your skills
- A degree in the field of economics with at least one of the following specialisations: auditing, accounting, taxes or controlling ideally with focus on the public sector
- 3-5 years practical experience in similar roles in the public sector, the European Commission, European Court of Auditors or similar organisations is a big advantage
- Strong knowledge of accounting and audit methodologies
- Very good communication skills in English and French; Luxembourgish and German would be considered an added advantage
- Experience in managing agile projects and teams is an advantage
- Strong communication skills, team spirit and a solution-oriented, independent and self-reliant way of working.
