Join us as Global Client Service Discipline Lead Business Analyst
The successful candidate in this role will perform analysis and research, to support key business initiatives and maintain and implement products and solutions within Global Client Service. This individual operates as a key spokesperson for GCS locally and globally. S/He would play a key role in implementing GCS model strategy, considering which processes are appropriate to perform and the placement of these; seek ways of optimizing workflows through transformative technology and data analysis. S/He would perform a liaison function with BBH’s clients/business units and technology teams. S/He would contribute to process optimization based on knowledge of the business and our clients. The position requires a risk-averse and problem-solving attitude along with constructive participation in working groups.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Analysis:
- Participate in and contribute to working group meetings and review documentation to gather, understand and document GCS project goals, workflows, complex business needs, challenges, and opportunities.
- Contribute to documentation. (e.g., business requirements documents, use cases, issue logs, change documents, mapping specifications, test plans, test cases, scope statements, and business cases).
- Contribute to review current service models, participate in creating new efficient workflows/solutions and assist teams and clients to leverage available technology within BBH to solve challenges.
- Keep to up to date on new BBH Technology and learn how to use to help streamline GCS workflows or requests.
- Where needed, participate in industry and professional networks to ensure awareness of industry standards, regulatory requirements, trends, and best practices.
2. Problem Solving:
- Solve difficult problems as needed through proposing insightful, knowledgeable, effective solutions. Seek ways of optimizing workflows through transformative technology and data analysis.
- Review requests from GCS for automation and standardization applying internal Best Practices to determine best fit within the Organization and team. Explore learning available automation tools (e.g., include data extraction and transformation tools such as Power Query, SQL, VBA, Alteryx or BBH internal solutions such as ARP/Smart Capture).
- Collaborate with working groups aiming to share and promote technologies within GCS
3. Project Management:
- Participate in project management on assigned tasks to achieve business goals.
Qualifications:
1. Education level and/ or experience
- BA/BS degree, and/or equivalent work experience.
- 5 to 7 years related work experience.
- Financial services industry knowledge and experience.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn about the fund lifecycle and understanding of the key roles assumed by the different actors of the fund industry and of the regulatory background.
- Willingness to learn one or more transformative technology and data analysis tools.
