Role purpose:

As a Junior Risk Manager you will be responsible for the daily risk analysis and general office duties where necessary. This is an ideal position for someone looking to develop their career and progression opportunities with a dynamic and expanding team.

Job Description:

  • Participate to the implementation and management of oversight controls, risk analysis in line with
  • standard company procedures
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, following up on client requests regarding risk management reports and issues
  • Assist the Conducting Officers with their daily function
  • Participate to the review of the fund’s risk profiles and calibrate risk limits
  • Support the Conducting Officer in charge of the risk management function for relevant tasks
  • When needed, conduct risk reviews for all managed products to assess the effectiveness of risk
  • monitoring and its adequacy with the risk profile
  • Compliance monitoring on the various limits, setting up new rules and escalating breaches to the team and to clients
  • Performing pre-trade checks for non-liquid assets and an oversight on the AIFs valuation
  • Liaise with delegates and services providers of the funds to ensure that relevant and timely information – with regards to outsourced activities and in accordance with the set procedures and processes – is provided
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to be requested to the delegates and services providers
  • Develop and produce reporting on risk monitoring and risk effectiveness procedures for the use of senior management and clients
  • General office management duties to assist the growth of the business and ensure smooth
  • running of daily activities

The Profile

  • Two years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in external audit for the fund industry
  • Investment management background is a strong advantage, with experience of private equity and real estate alternative investment funds
  • University degree in Finance, or Economics or equivalent
  • Excellent use of MSOffice, especially Excel. VBA and SQL appreciate
  • Outstanding communication skills with an ability to handle multiple business tasks
  • have a positive “can do” attitude
  • Proven ability to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and demonstrative use of initiative
  • Fluency in English is compulsory, French, and any European language will be considered as an
  • asset
