Our Investment Funds team is a full-service practice providing specialist, technically astute and pragmatic legal advice on all aspects of the investment funds and asset management worlds.
The team enjoys considerable senior backing within the firm and is expanding rapidly, both as a result of referrals from our unrivalled global networks and from the team’s own network of contacts and ever growing reputation.
In terms of sector coverage, the team deals on a regular basis with all parts of the alternative asset management universe, including real estate, private equity, hedge structures and venture capital, as well subsets or related types of those sectors, such as infrastructure, debt funds and listed funds.
The team provides cross-departmental support to the real estate, finance, regulatory and mainstream corporate/private equity groups, and works with our international offices on a day to day basis.

We are currently looking for an highly motivated and enthusiastic mid-level Associate with 2 to 4 year’s experience to join our Investment Funds team.

Key areas of responsibility:
Working closely with the tax team, our Investment Funds team covers the full range of investment fund and asset management work, including:
structuring and implementation of open and closed-ended investment fund vehicles as regulated and non-regulated entities using the broad range of structuring options available;
structuring and implementation of AIFM, management companies and other management and advisory vehicles;
assisting in the AIFMD analysis, reorganization and compliance of Luxembourg and non-Luxembourg structures;
structuring and implementation of carried interest and other remuneration and co-investment pools;
representing leading and cornerstone investors with respect to their fund investments;
assisting in the reorganization, merger and migration of investment fund vehicles;
advising fund counterparties and service providers on their agreements with Luxembourg funds; and
providing general investment funds/investment management and regulatory advises.
Skills, experience and characteristics:
have a strong academic record (university degree in law, ideally completed by a Master’s degree gained abroad (LL.M.), an MBA or another foreign diploma);
have 2 to 4 years’ experience with strong corporate law knowledge, in addition to funds and funds regulatory;
be fluent in English and French, and a good command of German and/or Luxembourgish would be a plus;
excellent legal and technical language skills;
