The vision of our Accounting Operations Advisory practice is to be the strategic partner to Finance leaders by leveraging our deep expertise in accounting to build confidence in the value, accuracy, timeliness and reliability of the Controllership function. With Internal Control Assurance, we deliver services that provide confidence in an organisation’s internal control and ensure a framework that meets financial, operational, and legal requirements.
Your next challenge
- Leading and coaching a team of internal controls specialists to support audit teams in their assessment of internal controls over financial reporting at well-known international companies
- Supporting clients in he implementation of a sound internal control systems and the remediation of internal control findings to ensure accurate records and financial reporting
- Advising clients on systems, tools and applications enhancing internal financial controls as well as accounting and financial reporting processes
- Cross-functional teamwork with other Deloitte service lines at national and international level
- Fostering your expertise by contributing your ideas to the ongoing improvement of our audit approaches and by developing models for audit and advisory engagements
Your skills
- Master’s degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, Law or a comparable course of study
- Minimum 3 years of practical experience in auditing internal controls or in advising large groups on the organisation of internal control systems – preferably in an audit or consulting firm
- Experience auditing in a SOx environment in an added advantage
- Sound understanding of systems supporting the optimisation of internal controls (eg. Workiva, AuditBoard) or enhancing accounting and financial reporting processes (Caseware, Netsuite, Yardi, Workday, etc.)
- Very good understanding of business processes, able to apply your knowledge to a wide range of industries
- Experience in leading project teams
- Very good knowledge of English, with French or German being an additional asset
- High level of customer orientation and negotiating skills
