PE in Luxembourg: the impact of private equity and venture capital in the real economy

The LPEA invited policy makers and officers from the public administration for an exclusive session explaining what is Private Equity (PE) and Venture Capital (VC) and how the sector impacts the Luxembourg economy.

Known as an international hub for Private Equity funds, Luxembourg plays an important role as an international platform for private equity and venture capital investments. Few people know however that Luxembourg itself features many PE-VC backed businesses, among which some leading financial services companies and fast-growing start-ups. The Private Equity sector employs today thousands of people and is one of the most dynamic sector of Luxembourg’s financial centre.
