Over 20 years in the financial sector, Allen Foley’s primary role since 2012 has been in directorship, with a specialized focus on UCITS, Alternative Funds, private equity and real estate. As an Independent Director, he’s directed key initiatives in management companies, PSFs, and AIFs. His notable position at an international management company as Executive Director showcased his adeptness in regulatory diligence and amplifying business growth across Luxembourg, Bermuda, and the Cayman Islands.

Currently enrolled in the Chartered Director Programme at the Institute of Directors (IoD) and with a distinction in ESG from the Corporate Governance Institute, Allen’s credentials highlight his dedication to ongoing professional development. Anabela Lourenço

Anabela is an experienced Non-Executive Director (NED) with expertise in corporate and tax governance. She has more than 20 years of experience in advising large financial sector clients and their boards with their tax strategy and fiscal risks.

She serves various boards, as NED, among which several sustainable Private Debt and Private Equity funds.

She was previously a Partner at EY Luxembourg and have held various roles at PwC Luxembourg.

To include a sustainability lens in her advice to clients she certified in Sustainable Finance and Transition to Net Zero Carbon at Cambridge University.

She is chartered accountant in Luxembourg.

She is an active member of the LPEA NED club and ESG workgroup.

She holds a Master in Business and Economics from the Solvay Business School (Brussels) and a Master in Tax Law from Brussels Tax College (Fiscale Hogeschool).

Anke Jager

Anke has more than 16 years of experience in the management and administration of alternative investment fund structures and has held senior executive positions at various fund administration firms.

She has advised and is member of the board of a number of PE/RE as well as VC and private debt funds and has taken an active role in looking after these from a corporate legal, regulatory and governance perspective.

Anne Canel

Anne Canel, is board member for ING Luxembourg and Foyer Finance,  as well as in international Private Equity funds as KLAR Partners, EOS, Spinecap and Faduval.

Anne’s areas expertise run across the broader private equity, banking and philanthropic activities.

She gained experience as CFO for various companies during 10 years and as Managing Director for HLD Europe until 2021, a Luxembourg based Private Equity Fund. She has also been Philanthropy Advisory at Banque de Luxembourg in charge of the creation and development of philanthropy advisory services. Anne has actively contributed to the alternative investment fund management industry, having previously been a Board Member of the LPEA and launched its ESG workgroup.

Aubry Pierre

Aubry has over 30 years of experience leading the boards of publicly quoted and Private Equity companies to address their most high stakes issues in Corporate Strategy, M&A and Corporate Governance.

He is the Chairman of the Board of Vedihold, a large Private Equity fund, and serves on the board of Advent International portfolio companies, as well as several international insurance companies and pre-eminent family offices.

Aubry was a Senior Partner of London-based L.E.K. Consulting, where he led the Organizational Strategy & Governance practice, serving leading multinationals and Private Equity firms worldwide. He was previously partner with Pof. Michael Porter of Harvard Business School in Monitor Group, the global strategy consulting firm now part of Deloitte, where he led the Financial Services practice.

Aubry is a graduate of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and INSEAD IDP, where he contributes to the Advanced Strategy for Directors programme.

Christine Panier

Christine is a specialist in Private Equity, Venture Capital and Debt funds.

She has spent all her career in fund investment and management, where she developed a strong interest and expertise in all aspects of fund management, in particular for governance, valuation, GP-LP balance and ESG.

She started at BNP Paribas where she was successively part of the Private Equity team and leader of the investments in VC / Healthcare.

She moved to one of the pioneers of hybrid debt-equity (Euromezzanine, now EMZ) and then to AXA Private Equity (now Ardian) where she led the VC practice.

In 2006 she joined the European Investment Fund in Luxembourg, where she has been responsible for investments in Private Equity funds in Western Europe until end of 2022. 

Since end of 2022 she is a member of corporate bodies of private equity players, participating to their governance at different stages of their development.

Christine holds an MBA from HEC (France)

She is a member of LPEA, where she is a member of the Independant Directors committee, and ILA.

Cornelius Bechtel

Cornelius joined Andersen in Luxembourg as a Partner, co-heading the Corporate Services division. His role includes working with asset managers, family offices and multinational enterprises with regards to their needs for Luxembourg-based regulated and unregulated corporate structures for holding, financing and structuring their investments (private equity, venture capital, real estate, debt and joint venture holdings).

He has more than 25 years of experience in this sector, having worked in leading positions with Big Four companies and large international actors such as KPMG, Intertrust and Apex Group. He advises and sits on boards, including chairmanships of large single-family office operations, funds, management companies (AIFM) and multinational corporations.

Dr. Ernst-August Schnieder is a Partner of The Directors’ Office, the leading practice of independent directors in Luxembourg. Ernst has about 25 years of experience in the financial  industry in Europe, the United States and Brazil. His experience covers the field of structured finance and structured products, retail fund management, real estate, private debt, private equity, FinTech and digital assets, renewable energy and the motion picture industry. Since 2020 he is a board member and advisor with a focus on sustainability.

François Masquelier

François has founded Simply Treasury, a company that delivers advisory in treasury, corporate finance and ERM. Before and until December 2019, he was Head of Corporate Finance, Treasury and Enterprise Risk Management at RTL Group, leading European media company. He joined RTL in 1997. Before, he worked for Eridania Béghin-Say and ABN.AMRO. He is Doctor in Tax Law, has degree in Economy and Administration from the University of Liège and is graduated from the Solvay Business School as Executive master’s in management.

He is certified ICIS and ICIP (Internal Controls Institute Professional) and ISO 31000 certified. He is also certified from Sacred Heart University (SHU) in Private Equity Funds.

He is Chair of Association of Corporate Treasurers of Luxembourg (ATEL), Chair of European Association of Corporate Treasurers (EACT), member of the Financial Instrument Working Group created by the IAS Board in 2004. He has also been appointed as Specialist at The Institute of Risk Management (IRM) since November 2009.

He is a regular contributor to different corporate finance and treasury magazines and newspapers. He is Editorial Director of the “Treasury Magazine”. He gives trainings and courses for House of Training Luxembourg and FEBELFIN Brussels. He is an active thought treasury leader in Europe and is known for his presentations, lectures, videos, and articles published in finance magazines for more than 20 years.

Gabriela Nguyen-Groza

Gabriela Nguyen-Groza is the Founder and Managing Partner of Amrop Luxembourg, an international Executive Search and Leadership Advisory Partnership with 67 offices in 54 countries. She is specialised in Executive and Board Search, and she advises her clients on C-Suite and Board topics related to Leadership Assessment and Development, Succession Planning and Executive Onboarding, Diversity & Inclusion, Board Evaluation, Effectiveness and Composition, Board and Executive Alignment.

Her international expertise in Private Equity and Venture Capital comes from working relentlessly with investors on topics like People Due Diligence as well as executive search at a company and investor level. Gabriela is a lecturer on Corporate Governance and the Vice-Chair of the Board Composition Committee at ILA (Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs), the Luxembourg Board Members representative body.

Jane Wilkinson

Jane Wilkinson is an experienced independent non-executive director, having spent 25+ years working in the Luxembourg financial sector.  Prior to going independent in 2019, Jane was a Partner at KPMG and Private Equity leader, as well as Head of Sustainable Finance at Luxembourg Stock Exchange.  As well as having extensive PE experience, she is also an ESG expert, having spent time as part of the EU’s Sustainable Finance Technical Expert Group.

Prior to Joining Luxembourg Stock Exchange Group, Jeffrey was Head of Business Development at European Fund Administration where he led a team to articulate strategic business development road map and coordinate sales activities with EFA’s shareholders (Banque de Luxembourg, Quintet Bank, Banque & Caisse d’Epargne de l’Etat and Oddo & Cie).

Jeffrey has a proven experience gained with major players through several international postings including in the United States and Luxembourg. He spent 10 years at RBC Investor & Treasury Services Luxembourg, holding senior roles across operations, relationship management & business development in charge of proactive Luxembourg market entry strategy and positioning with new segmentations and inherent product offerings. Prior to RBC, Jeffrey was a Senior Consultant at Arthur Andersen Luxembourg specialising in the Financial Services industry (Custodian Bank, Fund Administration, Front/Back-Office relationships) and started his career with State Street Bank in Boston.

Jeffrey Nadal is Independent Certified Director by Insead and Institut Luxembourgeois des Adminsitrateurs (ILA) since 2015 and he is member of ILA education committee working group since 2018 as wele as several LFI technical committees. He holds a post master diploma “Management des Operations de Marche” from Lumiere Lyon II University and two Masters’ degree from Dauphine University in Banking, Financial and Insurance Engineering as well as Business Management.

Joachim has more than 22 years of experience in the investment funds industry.

He holds mandates in the management bodies of regulated or non-regulated open and closed ended fund vehicles and financial participation vehicles in the fields of infrastructure, real estate, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds and liquid transferable securities.

Joachim is INSEAD-IDP certified and is a certified director from ILA. He sits on the board of directors and the management committee of ILA and is an active member of several committees and a regular lecturer at ILA trainings. Joachim is a member of the LPEA’s IDs & NEDs’ Club.

John Holloway

John Holloway

John has 43 years experience in the financial industry. The last 21 years were spent in the venture capital and private equity sectors where he helped to build the fund-of-fund investment team in the EIF. Now partially retired, he sits on the Board of two Luxembourg-based structures as a NE/Independent Director. He also acts as an Adviser to the LPEA.

Mark Phillips

Mark Phillips is a Certified Independent Director with the Luxembourg Institute of Directors, as well as INSEAD France, and is also a Chartered Accountant and Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Mark has over 30 years of diverse experience within the finance and fund industry and is an active member of various industry associations, including the ILA Fund Committee, The Findel Group, where he is Chair, and has in the past sat on the Luxembourg Fund Association (ALFI) Regulatory Board, and the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA) Management Company Standing Committee.

Mark has gained extensive experience sitting on regulated and unregulated Boards of Aviva Investors, covering a diverse range of asset classes, and investment vehicles. During Mark’s eight years as CEO of Aviva Investors Luxembourg, and member of the Management Team covering Aviva Investors regulated fund ranges in six domiciles, he worked to implement best in class corporate governance practices within the organisation and at Board level.

Olivier Lambrecht

Olivier Lambrecht graduated in HEC business school in Liège in 2000. He started his career in the heavy Industry where he ended up heading the finance team of Guardian glass manufacturing plant in Dudelange. He then moved to the Real Estate Investment industry where he was a financial controller based in Luxembourg for The Carlyle Group looking after the European funds. The following 11 years, M. Lambrecht was based in Abu Dhabi working for the sovereign wealth fund ADIA. There he was in charge of the financial team supervising the widely diversified European real estate investment portfolio. Shortly after being back in Luxembourg, he set up Alternative Investment Services (AIS) together with Damien Rensonnet. They offer senior operational assistance to alternative investors’ financial teams. Also, they both serve as non-executive Directors on the board of different entities.

Paolo is an Independent Director in Luxembourg domiciled Management Companies, Alternative Investments and Private Market Funds. His experience started in the Fund Services sector in the USA. Then he moved on to Europe and joined some of the largest Alternative Investment service providers with senior business development and strategic client solution roles. During these experiences he was actively involved in the creation and management of several large fund structures among which hedge funds, private equit, venture capital under regulated and unregulated companies.

Paolo has been Conducting Person, Senior Client Advisor and Consultant for Third Party Management Companies. He has been working for some of the largest United Nations Agencies in technical cooperation projects related to sustainability and technology.

Paolo holds a MBA in international management from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management and he is fluent in multiple languages. He is member of LPEA, the INED club and ILA.
