Luxembourg, 12 July 2024. The second edition of the Luxembourg Venture Days will gather investors and startups in a joint summit on 16th and 17th October 2024.

The annual event is organized by Luxembourg’s innovation agency Luxinnovation, the Luxembourg Private Equity and VC Association (LPEA) and Startup Luxembourg, the country’s organization to promote its startup ecosystem. The convention offers a unique opportunity for investors and startups to connect and explore new partnerships and investment opportunities.

Luxembourg Venture Days combines, for the first time, several flagship events of the country’s and the international investor and startup scene: Luxinnovation’s Fit 4 Start summit and LPEA’s annual Insights conference as well as pitch and matchmaking sessions organised by the Luxembourg Business Angel Network (LBAN), the Luxembourg-based accelerators, gener8tor and Tomorrow Street, and the Luxembourg Open Innovation Club (LOIC).

The growing number of European unicorns (i.e. startups valued at one billion US dollars or more) shows the progress that the European start-up ecosystem has made over the past years. Matchmaking platforms and networks that connect startups and investors are key to maintain and further accelerate this momentum. Luxembourg, as an international business hub and gateway at the heart of Europe, is well positioned to stimulate the interaction between investors and tech entrepreneurs.

Luxinnovation empowers companies to innovate. Its aim is to contribute to the development of the country’s economy, foster collaborative projects and stimulate the emergence of a sustainable, competitive, and digital economy. Fit 4 Start is managed by Luxinnovation as a public acceleration programme for companies and entrepreneurs.

LPEA represents and promotes the country’s Private Equity and Venture Capital industry. It aims to create an efficient and agile environment for Private Capital investors and a “one-stop shop” for fund managers operating in Europe and beyond. The association’s VC members are a key part of the local startup ecosystem and usual participants of local initiatives.

“Luxembourg Venture Days will bring several renowned and high-level events with investors and startups under one roof,” Sasha Baillie, CEO of Luxinnovation said. “For start-ups, the two-day event will be an excellent opportunity to pitch in front of a variety of investors. For investors, it will be a place to team up and find new partners and investments. We are proud to join forces with these main actors to develop our new win-win event formula and foster Luxembourg’s role as a vibrant ecosystem, home and hub for startups and investors.”

“Luxembourg is a prominent hot spot for private Private equity Equity and venture Venture capital Capital managers and investors in Europe,” Stephane Pesch, CEO of LPEA said. “The country is known to host some of the biggest Private Equity practitioners next to a growing number of VCs and the partnership with Luxinnovation will put this specific community on the spotlight as key players of our ecosystem.”

The Luxembourg Venture Days take place at Luxexpo The Box (10, Circuit de la Foire Internationale, L-1347 Luxembourg-Kirchberg). A matchmaking zone will be available to facilitate the interaction between the participants.
