Job Description

We are seeking an Adviser in Risk Reporting for Investment Funds
Our Risk Advisory team offers technology solutions for financial risk management and regulatory reporting topics for investment funds and asset managers.


Due to the ongoing expansion of our team, we are currently looking for outstanding individuals to join us and contribute to risk management monitoring and reporting services for our clients.

This is an ideal opportunity to develop solid knowledge in the fields of risk management and investments. The position will provide you with excellent exposure to a range of assignments in a very dynamic environment, where proactivity and determination are highly valued skills. A career in KPMG’s Risk Advisory department offers hands-on opportunities to learn and manage our clients by implementing risk management frameworks and monitoring portfolio risk and compliance.
 

What you will be working on

  • Support our clients in the asset management industry with the production or review of risk reports and regulatory reporting templates for investment funds.
  • Be a key contact for our clients’ requests (e.g., scope definition, data validation, providing feedback, and answering questions on produced reports).
  • Collect and analyze client data to develop recommendations that will enable clients to achieve their objectives.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality risk reporting and advisory deliverables.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of our internal reporting platform.
  • Optimize operational processes through automation and/or process streamlining.
  • Expand your expertise on the regulations applicable to banking and insurance investors and their related impacts on the asset management industry.

What we look for

  • You hold a master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Business Engineering, Physics, Mathematic  or a similar field.
  • You have a solid understanding of the main financial instruments, including derivative products, and have gained a good understanding of the investment funds industry.
  • You have developed an interest in risk topics (e.g., Value at Risk, sensitivity measures) and financial regulations.
  • You are proficient in Excel and passionate about technology, open to interacting with programming languages and computing environments (e.g., MATLAB, Python, Apache Spark, Java, etc.).
  • You are rigorous, quality-driven, result-oriented, and possess excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • You have 0 to 2 years of working experience in the financial sector.
  • You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in English; proficiency in German and/or French will be considered an advantage.
  • You are capable of working collaboratively within a larger team and across functional teams.
