Eryn Zander is an independent director and board advisor with over 25 years of international experience across the finance, consumer, and non-profit sectors. Since 2017, she has held board positions with UCITS and alternative investment funds (including SIFs, SICARs, EuVECA, and EuSEF), as well as AIFMs in Luxembourg, bringing expertise in risk oversight, AML/CFT, and sustainability. She also advises leading private equity firms, supporting strategic governance and operational value creation across global portfolios.
Her background in management consulting, combined with deep financial expertise and knowledge of Luxembourg’s fund industry, enables her to bridge regulatory compliance and commercial strategy. She has helped boards strengthen governance frameworks, navigate evolving regulation, and embed ESG into core decision-making.
Eryn’s perspective is shaped by both hands-on boardroom practice and academic work through her Executive PhD research in governance and organizational studies. She contributes to scholarly work on governance, speaks at premier management and organizational studies conferences, and leads governance training programs at VU Leadership Academy in Amsterdam. She holds an MBA from INSEAD and has pursued further studies in sustainable finance at the University of Cambridge and in finance at the CFA Institute.
She has lived and worked across multiple regions, bringing deep cross-cultural insight and a global perspective to governance. Beyond the boardroom, she founded Sportunity, a Luxembourg-based non-profit that leverages sport as a tool for refugee inclusion and community building.
