Luxembourg, 6 May – DLA Piper is delighted to announce the promotion of David Alexandre to the role of IPT Partner, effective 1 May 2024. David, previously serving as IPT Counsel, joined the firm in 2019 and has since demonstrated profound experience and leadership in intellectual property, trademarks, copyrights, patents, innovation and technology.
David is among 63 lawyers to be promoted by the firm across the globe. His appointment takes the total number of partners in Luxembourg to eight, demonstrating DLA Piper’s organic growth and commitment to career development and promoting from within its own ranks.
He brings over a decade of experience in the technology, media, telecommunications, aerospace, sports, entertainment, life sciences, retail, consumer goods and financial services sectors. He has been instrumental in advising local and international players in these industries, consistently delivering strategies that safeguard client interests while fostering innovation.
In his new role, David will continue to focus on IP matters, leveraging his deep knowledge to enhance the firm’s capabilities in managing complex legal challenges in the intellectual property and technology sectors. Known for his game changing approach to the end-to-end management of global large-scale portfolios of IP rights and relentless fight against counterfeits, David is also one of the firm’s champions in creating, assessing and adopting legal tech solutions, leveraging AI and intellectual property both for DLA Piper and its clients.
