ABOUT THE INSIGHTS
The LPEA Insights conference is designed by and for GPs, LPs and will also be the meeting point for all Private Equity and Venture Capital practitioners. Over 900 participants are expected to join this years’s edition. This is a unique networking event bringing local and international players together. Luxembourg’s leading Private Equity and Venture Capital conference will take place during the Luxembourg Venture Days.
The Luxembourg Venture Days (LVD), initiated in 2023, is a partnership between LPEA and LuxInnovation. This event brings together LPEA’s Insights conference audience and LuxInnovation’s Fit4Start candidates, creating a successful melting pot of investors and entrepreneurs under one roof. This year, the LVD includes de usual Fit4Start startup competition and dedicated sessions on: the UN Food Programme Innovation Accelerator, Corporate Venture Capital and many other sessions orgnaised by VCs and other partners of the event.
All participants of Insights are automatically registered in the Luxembourg Venture Days and therefore benefiting the additional events available in parallel.

Carla Dupont joined IK Partners in 2022 and is an Associate Director within the Partnership Fund Investment team in Paris, specialising in the Consumer sector.
Prior to joining IK, Carla worked for Cobepa in Brussels and at Partners Group in Switzerland. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from IE University.

After almost 20 years as an LP, David recently turned into a GP role.
David is a seasoned investment professional, with a proven successful track record of investing into VC funds, specialized in selecting, anchoring, and backing emerging VC fund managers.
He is a regular contributor to podcasts and speaker at industry events, expert in deeptech fields such as Defence, Space, Web 3.0, Blockchain, Quantum Technologies, Semiconductors, Tech Transfer, etc.
David invested €3.5bn+ of capital in over 120 VC funds, mainly following deeptech strategies.
He holds a M.Sc. in Management and Finance from the Ecole Supérieure des Affaires – Université Paris XII, a Bachelors Degree in Management and Finance from the University of Paris La Sorbonne, and an Executive Masters Degree from ESCP Paris Business School.
Ed Nevens

Ed is Cinven’s Head of Tax.
Prior to joining Cinven, Ed was a Tax Partner at BDO focussed on the taxation of private equity firms and their investors. Before this Ed was an Associate Partner at EY and he previously worked in-house at Apax Partners and Bridgepoint Capital.
Ed has a PhD in Pure Mathematics from Imperial College and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
He joined Cinven in 2020.
Georges Zahlen-Karanatsios
Bio
Georges Zahlen is the CEO of Axiomatic, a PE fund based in Luxembourg. Axiomatic’s mission is to provide Luxembourgish SMEs with a safe haven in case of a succession issue. With a buy-and-hold strategy, the company strives to acquire healthy SMEs, to continue to write their story and to develop them in the long run. Before co-founding Axiomatic, Georges was a Corporate Finance Advisor at PwC Luxembourg, specializing in M&A. He is a membre élu at Luxembourg’s Chamber of Commerce and Vice-President of the Luxembourg Confederation. He holds a Master’s Degree from Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management.

Hind El Gaidi
Bio
Hind El Gaidi serves as Head of Luxembourg Office at ICG, a FTSE 100 listed British asset manager with over EUR 100 billion in assets under management.
Ms. El Gaidi is President of the Luxembourg Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (LPEA), following more than five years of service on its board and executive committee. She has been actively involved in various financial market initiatives aimed at positioning Luxembourg’s private markets sector at the forefront of the industry.
She is co-founder and board member of the Luxembourg Valuation Professionals Association, a professional organization affiliated with the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC).
Ms. El Gaidi is a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. She holds an Executive MBA and MSc from Nyenrode University, The Netherlands, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & International Law from the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis, France.
John Holloway
Bio
John worked 43 years in Finance, the last 20 of which in EIF where he led the Fund Investments team focusing on EU VC and Lower Mid-Market GP’s, growing AuM from 500m to 18bn.
Since leaving EIF he has taken on a number of assignments, either occupying Board positions or providing advisory services. He is a member of the iNED club at LPEA.
Kai Aschick
Bio
Kai Aschick, CAIA, is the Private Markets Lead for BlackRock’s EMEA iShares & Wealth business. His focus is to drive the product strategy and positioning of BlackRock’s Private Markets and broader Alternatives capabilities to Wealth clients in the region.
Prior to joining BlackRock Kai spent several years with BHF-BANK, where he most recently focused on the distribution of the firm’s asset management capabilities to institutional investors. Kai holds a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), a Bachelor’s degree from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, and is a qualified banking professional in Germany (Bankkaufmann).
Keith O'Donnell
Bio
A tax professional since 1988, Keith has experience in advising international groups on the design and implementation of global tax strategies. He was instrumental in designing pan european RE fund structures that are widely used today. Keith is a founding Partner and Managing Partner of ATOZ. He is actively involved in several key tax international bodies. Keith is chairman of the Luxembourg chapter of IFA, chair of the ALFI Tax Commission and member of other Luxembourg advisory and industry bodies. Keith is also a Taxand board member.
Keith is a regular author and speaker at professional and academic conferences. He studied law then qualified as a Tax Adviser and a Chartered Accountant in Ireland and Luxembourg, and has completed numerous post-qualification lifelong learning education programmes.
Keith is a board member of Luxembourg Art Week, the Executive Club of Luxembourg and a number of private companies.
Michele Raba

Michele Rabà is the Lead Partner for European Private Equity at Apollo, having joined in 2010. Since he joined Apollo, Mr. Rabà has been involved in various private equity transactions, including Gala Coral, Braas Monier, Watches of Switzerland, Nova KBM, Oldenburgische Landesbank, Gamenet, Lottomatica, Reno De Medici, Allwyn, Ingenico and The Travel Corporation.
Mr. Rabà currently serves as a director of The Travel Corporation, Ingenico, Reno De Medici, Oldenburgische Landesbank and Lottomatica. Mr. Rabà is a former board member of Watches of Switzerland, Gamenet, Allwyn, Nova KBM, Abanka, Summit Leasing Slovenia and KBS Banka, among others.
Prior to joining Apollo, Mr. Rabà was with Goldman Sachs International in the Financial Institutions Group within the Investment Banking Division, based in London. Mr. Rabà graduated from Bocconi University where he earned both his BA in Financial Institutions and Markets and his MSc in Finance. In 2019, Mr. Rabà was selected by Private Equity News and Financial News as one of the 25 rising stars of European private equity and in 2024 he was selected as one of the 40 Future Leaders by Private Equity International.
Nicolas Milerioux

Nicolas leads the Venture Capital efforts at Encevo. As such, he is responsible of scouting and selecting innovative solutions for our business units across the entire Encevo Group as well as, when relevant, conduct a number of hand-picked equity in early stage companies on the European market and preferably at Series A stage.

Senior Portfolio Manager responsible for Eur 10 Bn AuM with a focus on Infrastructure and Private Equity, encompassing both indirect and direct strategies.
Previous 10 years of experience were deployed in senior and management positions within transaction advisory –dealing with valuation, business modelling, project financing and M&A-, of Big 4 firms based in Madrid, Latin America and Luxembourg focusing on renewable energies (solar, wind, hydro, biomass) and core infrastructures (gas -transportation and generation-, underground, mining, toll roads, ports).
Philippe Augustin

Philippe is the Head of BGL BNP Paribas Development, which has been launched in 2021 to support Luxembourg based SMEs by acquiring minority stakes in order to accelerate their growth and to facilitate business transfers. He was previously in charge of the Commercial Banking team and the Innovation Hub and he holds a Master’s degree in Money and Finance from University Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg and a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from Luxembourg School of Finance.
Raman Rajagopal

Raman Rajagopal is a Senior Client Portfolio Manager dedicated to Invesco’s global private credit group, which includes capabilities across broadly syndicated loans, CLO’s, direct lending and distressed credit.
Mr. Rajagopal joined Invesco in 2016. With Invesco, he has held roles focusing on private markets asset classes as well as in corporate strategy. Mr. Rajagopal was previously a management consultant with Accenture, where he concentrated on wealth and asset management companies. Prior to Accenture, he worked in asset management roles with Oppenheimer and Morgan Stanley. He began his career as a corporate attorney with Paul Hastings LLP, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions.

Samuelle Thevenet
Bio
Samuelle Thevenet is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of international experience in private equity, financial management, transaction services and corporate governance. As Chief Operating Officer of a Geneva-based Family Office and Singapore-based Investment Funds, she oversees international portfolios, driving strategic exits, optimizing valuations, and navigating complex regulatory landscapes across Europe, Asia, and USA. Samuelle pioneered one of the first Variable Capital Companies (VCC) in Singapore, enhancing operational flexibility in challenging market environments. She holds board member positions in asset management, venture and growth capital companies.
Sara Huda

Sara Huda is a Managing Director and Head of Investment Services at EQT. Sara also serves as a board member of EQT Fund Management Sarl, EQT’s regulated investment manager.
Prior to EQT, Sara was Head of Luxembourg at the Carlyle Group, overseeing Carlyle’s European investment structures and its regulated investment fund manager. Sara was also a deals and fund tax advisor at PwC for 12 years, working in Australia, New York and Luxembourg.
Sara currently serves on the board of the Luxembourg Association of Funds, the main industry body for asset managers in Luxembourg. She is an admitted solicitor in Australia and holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Applied Finance from Macquarie University Sydney.
Stephane Pesch

Stephane Pesch is the CEO of the Luxembourg Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (LPEA)
Stephane Pesch, studied Finance and Business administration in France and finished his studies with an exchange program in the US. After some experiences in the media sector, Stephane joined the financial services and investment funds industry in 2005. He worked for various banks (BNP Paribas, KBL and Sal. Oppenheim) in different Sales, client- and product-centric positions. He switched afterwards to an international PSF providing specialised PE & VC services for which he led the business development activities in Europe. He was able to participate over the last years in the tremendous growth of the PE/VC asset classes in Luxembourg and of the LPEA via different active roles in Technical Committees. After many years as a member, he professionally joined the association in October 2019 as Director of Strategy and started working on key missions including public advocacy, thought leadership and the attraction of talents. With his team he launched the LPEA Training Academy in 2020 and took over in September the role of CEO, pursuing LPEA’s core mission of promoting, defending and representing the Private Capital industry and community.
