Following its Board meeting on 1 July 2026, the Luxembourg Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (LPEA) is pleased to announce the composition of its Executive Committee (ExCom) for 2026, reflecting the Association’s continued commitment to strong governance and industry leadership.
Hind El Gaidi of ICG continues to serve as President of the LPEA.
As part of the annual governance cycle, the LPEA Board has appointed Gautier Laurent of Cinven as Vice-President of the Executive Committee, succeeding Hans-Jürgen Schmitz of Mangrove Capital Partners – and co-founder of LPEA, who will continue to serve as a member of the ExCom following his re-election. EY Luxembourg, represented by Laurent Capolaghi, continues to hold the Association’s second Vice-President position. The Board has also elected Valerie Tixier of PwC to the Executive Committee, replacing Giuliano Bidoli of BC Partners. In addition, Martine Kerschenmeyer of Advent International and Claude de Raismes of Wendel have renewed their mandates as members of the Executive Committee.
Hind El Gaidi, President of the LPEA, commented: “I warmly congratulate Gautier Laurent on his appointment as Vice-President of the Executive Committee. Gautier has been an active and committed member of the LPEA for many years, and I look forward to working even more closely with him in his new role. I am also delighted to welcome Valerie Tixier to the Executive Committee and to congratulate Martine Kerschenmeyer and Claude de Raismes on the renewal of their mandates. Together, we will continue to advance the LPEA’s strategic priorities and support the continued growth of Luxembourg’s Private Markets ecosystem.”
Stéphane Pesch, CEO of the LPEA, added: “I would like to congratulate Gautier Laurent on his appointment as Vice-President and thank Hans-Jürgen Schmitz for his continued commitment to the Executive Committee. I also wish to express my sincere appreciation to Giuliano Bidoli, for his outstanding contribution to the Executive Committee and the Board, and in particular for his leadership of the LPEA Tax Committee and Public Affairs Group. Giuliano has played an instrumental role in advancing several of the Association’s key initiatives, and we are grateful for his dedication and lasting impact on the LPEA.
The ExCom, composed of 12 members, acts as the executive body of the LPEA. It brings together the President, two Vice-Presidents, a Secretary, a Treasurer, the CEO of the LPEA and other members elected by the Board of Directors. Working closely with the CEO, the Executive Committee helps define and implement the Association’s strategic priorities while supporting the delivery of its mission. In accordance with the Association’s Articles, the Board of Directors may also entrust specific responsibilities to the ExCom and its members.
The Luxembourg Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (LPEA) is the representative body of Private Equity and Venture Capital professionals in Luxembourg.
