The Luxembourg Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (LPEA) successfully concluded the ninth edition of LPEA Insights, held on 15 October 2026 at Luxexpo The Box, bringing together 470 fund managers and investors.
Key Themes and Takeaways
Under the theme “Private Capital at the Crossroads,” discussions explored how private markets are navigating shifting macro forces, the rise of AI and a changing liquidity landscape, while opening up to a broader range of investors. In her speech, Hind El Gaidi, President of the LPEA, highlighted three structural shifts defining the industry’s path into 2027:
- Delivery Comes First – Capital is concentrating rapidly around managers who invest well, manage their portfolios with discipline and return cash to investors. Track record is no longer a differentiator but the entry ticket, and strong operational fundamentals are now crucial. Meanwhile, the space left by consolidation opens the door to a new generation of sector and geography specialists.
- Private Wealth by Design – With the Great Wealth Transfer under way and a new generation of investors expecting digital access, transparency and up-to-date information, genuine access to private markets means building products designed for wealth investors from the start, rather than simply lowering the minimum tickets of institutional ones.
- Luxembourg at the Heart of Convergence – As public and private market infrastructure begins to converge, Luxembourg is well placed to design and distribute private market products that travel on the custody and distribution rails wealth investors already use — and to help set the next global standard.
In total, LPEA’s flagship private capital conference welcomed more than 1,400 participants from Luxembourg and abroad, a 15% increase on last year’s edition. With 100+ speakers across three stages, the event provided a comprehensive platform for the exchange of ideas and innovation across all segments of the private markets industry.
“With this new record, LPEA Insights has once again shown that Luxembourg is where the private capital community comes together to shape what comes next,” said Stéphane Pesch, CEO of LPEA.
Luxembourg Venture Days
Once again, LPEA Insights was organised as part of the Luxembourg Venture Days (14–15 October), jointly hosted with Luxinnovation. The pairing is a natural one: innovative start-ups and scale-ups need investors able to finance their growth, while private capital needs a strong pipeline of companies to back. By bringing the innovation and private capital communities together under one roof — culminating in a joint closing session and cocktail — the two events reinforced Luxembourg’s position as a European hub for private markets and innovation.
A Platform for Connection
Beyond the stages, LPEA Insights 2026 was, above all, a forum for networking. A total of 31 sponsors were present on the day to connect with the PE & VC community, while 25 PE Tech exhibitors showcased solutions that are transforming fund operations, data management and investor relations — giving fund managers and administrators the opportunity to see new tools in action and meet the teams behind them. The day closed with a joint networking cocktail shared with the Luxembourg Venture Days, where founders, investors and industry professionals continued the conversations begun on the conference floor.
