1. ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL AND GOVERNANCE (ESG) CLUB

The objectives of the “ESG” Club are:

Develop a report and guidance to general partners (GP’s) and limited partners (LP’s) actively investing with ESG strategies but also to PE/VC services providers who want to adopt and integrate ESG in their practices

Offer the opportunity for the LPEA members to collaborate and build consensus with the goal of developing a common approach on the private equity’s role in delivering the ESG

2. PE4W / PRIVATE EQUITY FOR WOMEN CLUB

In March 2019, on the occasion of the International Women’s Day, the LPEA launched its PE4W initiative with the goal of supporting women to develop a career in Private Equity. This initiative was very well accepted by LPEA’s constituency and continues to strive with regular events, a Mentoring programme and dedicated trainings. PE4W is open for both men and women.

In view of granting further opportunities to women, the LPEA signed the pledge of Equilibre which implies that women must always be represented in public speaking initiatives of the LPEA: “No woman no panel”!

3. VENTURE CAPITAL CLUB

The Venture Capital Club of LPEA support the interests of the EU venture industry and the high-growth companies that it backs.

VC club ensuring high level of venture capital members and secure the high level of satisfaction. Providing support to them and also promoting their interests into the community. Organise relevant events, like seminars, webinars and related to the sector interviews.
Furthermore it develops synergies with other similar clubs in order to create efficient partnerships.

4. LARGE GPs CLUB

The large GPs club is more related to PE firms.
It offers the opportunity of networking and exchange of experiences and also it represents and defends the LPEA members‘ interests and position. This club also helps to promote and develop further the attractiveness of Luxembourg and attract new PE firms .
Furthermore there are opportunities to develop synergies with other similar firms to the community and foster partnerships with local and international actors.

5. PRIVATE DEBT CLUB

The objectives of the “Private Debt Committee” are:

  • To focus on the asset class, look at valuations and analyse the opportunities and challenges.

6. SINGLE FAMILY OFFICE CLUB (SFO exclusive)

The Single Family Offices (SFO) Club brings together qualified investors for networking and knowledge sharing. The group meets on a regular basis and invites external guests to present different subjects  of interest. Given the growing exposure of SFOs to PE and VC, this is also an opportunity for Club members to get acquainted with professionals from Luxembourg and abroad, who influence the PE/VC market.

7. WEALTH MANAGEMENT CLUB

The objectives of the “Wealth Management” Club are:
To represent and define member’s interests, propose specific and relevant content and also to offer communication and additional networking possibilities.
To create new partnerships in to the community that can affect both sides in an efficient way
To attract new members that are interested in this sector and exchange knowledge and information with the existing members.

8. HR CLUB

HR Club focuses on attracting talents to Luxembourg, to private equity and venture capital industries and developing additional educational projects (LPEA Academy) necessary for their skills’ development. As a part of the initiative, candidates can submit their information through the official LPEA website (Career section), which will be shared with association members’ HR teams. On the other side, members can share their PE and VC vacancies for those interested to join the sector.

9. CVC CLUB (CORPORATE VENTURE CAPITAL)

Corporate Venture Capital Club focuses on the increased activity in this area in Luxembourg in recent years. 

This Club is co-hosted by the Luxembourg Open Innovation Club (LOIC).

The Club members will: 

  • discuss related CVC topics
  • organise events, webinars and panels
  • prepare articles, papers and related publications
  • describe the mission and best practices (CVC)

10. INSURANCE CLUB

15. SECONDARIES CLUB

The objectives of the “Secondaries Club” are to:

  • Focus on the sub-asset class and analyse the opportunities and challenges
  • Discuss the current market outlook, recent developments and new market trends (e.g. ESG, Digitalization, AI applied to secondaries, GP-leds, democratising the access to the PE Asset Class through secondaries, semi-liquid etc)
